June is “Adopt a Shelter Cat Month” so if you are considering adding a new cat or kitten to your home, please consider adopting one of the many wonderful cats and kittens available at the SCHS shelter. All cats up for adoption from the Schuyler County Humane Society are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, and are up to date on rabies and four way distemper vaccines. This kitten and many other cats and kittens can be seen at the SCHS shelter Tuesday evenings from 5-7 p.m. or Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon, or by appointment. Anyone having questions about adopting animals or volunteering at the shelter may call the shelter at (217) 322-2220
We are always thankful for anything you can donate. Food, litter, paper towels, bowls, leashes, collars and any spare few dollars.
We need your help and time. Our goal is to give our sheltered pets a quality life while staying at the shelter. Volunteers are needed to walk, socialize, feed, clean cages, bath pets and many other little tasks.
