Pet of the Week

ThelmaThis week we have Thelma as our pet of the week. She is a spayed, female Shih-Tzu/Terrier mix, approximately 5-7 years of age and weighs in at 19lbs bodyweight. Thelma is very friendly but would be best suited in a household with no other dogs or cats. She is crate trained and loves to take long walks on a leash. Thelma is Heartworm positive and is recovering from a life-saving bladder surgery. All dogs up for adoption are spayed or neutered and are up-to-date on distemper/parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations. Thelma and many other dogs and cats may be seen at the SCHS shelter Tuesday evenings 5-7 p.m. or at the SCHS Open House, this Saturday, Nov. 7th from 1-3:00 p.m. Anyone having questions about adoptions or volunteering at the shelter may call 217-322-2220 or e-mail us at www.schuylerhs.com. The public is invited to the SCHS Open house this Saturday (11/7), celebrating the first anniversary of the opening of the animal shelter.
